The Manner Nut Cubes were Manner's answer to the Mozartkugeln trend. At this time, Manner was not yet in Mozartkugeln production.
Manner's Mozart Cubes are filled with an exquisite nougat-marzipan cream. This is coated with exquisite Manner plain chocolate.
As in the case of Manner Nut Cubes, there have been minimal changes made to the packaging.
"Chocolate for everyone" - this was Josef Manner I's motto when he founded the confectionery dynasty in 1890.
Josef Manner, a businessman by trade, had a small shop in the centre of Vienna from which he sold chocolate and fig coffee. From the very beginning it was his aim to offer chocolate products of a better quality and cheaper than his competitors.
In 1960 the Manner company succeeded in writing industrial design history with a decisive innovation - which is still considered significant today. This innovation is the packaging that keeps the flavour of the Manner wafers in, thanks to double aluminium foil with the typical red tear strip.
This new packaging meant sudden worldwide recognition for the good old Neopolitan wafer. The new Manner wafer was born. The packaging guaranteed not only a longer shelf life, but also made it easier to open the pack and ever since has counted as one of the Austrian "design classics".
In this way the Manner wafer became the most successful and bestselling article from all the Manner range. In 1964 record sales in existence since 1914 were exceeded for the first time.Manner . . . .a taste of Vienna – all over the world
